New York-based DevelopAll Inc., brought to market a new way to measure intraocular pressure (IOP) through the upper eyelid. The Diaton digital, handheld tonometer is an innovative medical device that provides a non-invasive way of measuring intraocular pressure (IOP).
Unlike traditional tonometers, it does not require corneal contact with the cornea, which eliminates concerns surrounding corneal variability, scratches, and viral transmission.
The handheld, portable device is FDA-approved, requires no anesthesia, sterilization, or calibration, and can be used with patients wearing contact or scleral lenses.
